To connect a water-impermeable sheet with a different quality of a material to a water-impermeable sheet in the existing area to be used, make it possible to easily connect them without using a heat welding method even if it is required to expand a new area to be used, obtain joint strength usable at the end on a joint side of two sheets after the connection and to provide a connection method capable of promoting watertightness, durability and work efficiency.
This connection method of sheets to be laid out is so executed that grooves 3 and 3a with high centers of the bottoms 30 and 30a are formed on the ground surface 2 connecting sheets 1A and 1B thereto, the side end 10a of one sheet 1A is laid out so as to cross the grooves 3 and 3a from one side of the grooves 3 and 3a, the side end 10b of the other sheet 1B is lapped on one sheet 1A and is laid out so as to cross the grooves 3 and 3a from the other side of the grooves 3 and 3a and that earth and sand or ready-mixed concrete 4a is placed on both sheets 1A and 1B overlapping each other to backfill the brooves 3 and 3a.
