Title:
CONNECTION OF OXIDE SUPERCONDUCTIVE MATTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS647489
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make connection of superconductive matters possible by getting the terminating parts of the oxide superconductive matters attached or close to each other and irradiating high energy beams to the attached or closely located parts to weld them.

CONSTITUTION: An end of an oxide superconductive matter 5 is cut diagonally, so the end surfaces of Cu core lines 3 and oxide superconductive matter layers 4 are widely exposed, and then the cut end surfaces are held with a micro-gap between each other. A high energy beam 6 with a beam diameter greater than the micro-gap is scanned along the gap to fuse at least one of the end surfaces facing each other, and immediately there after, the end surfaces are attached to each other to be welded. Oxide superconductive matters can thus be connected without deteriorating continuity as a superconductive matter.
