Title:
CONNECTION OF SLIDER TO 3D OBJECT FOR SIMPLE OPERATION AND DISPLAY OF OBJECT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2705715
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a slider object for simply and intuitively turning around XYZ axes.
CONSTITUTION: An easy-to-use method attaining the precise control of a displayed three-dimensional object around one of three orthogonal axes is executed by the user of a computer system. A sequence defining the three 'hot spots' of X axis, Y axis and Z axis is called. These three hot spots are displayed at the final points of the displayed X axis, Y axis and Z axis with an origin at the centroid of the 3D object. The user drags and drops a slider concerning each of the axes to connect each slider to one of the hot spots. Once they are connected, the user can select the option of HIDECONNECTION, and can select the option of HIDE3DAXES and as the result, the three sliders are displayed on a picture with the 3D picture. After then by respectively moving each slider, the 3D object is precisely rotated around the axis corresponding to it to facilitate to look at the object.
