To provide a connection structure which has high strength for external force by protruding a connection part having a small diameter from one end of a pedestal part having a screw part in an outer peripheral face to form a nipple main body and screw-fixing a cover body provided with a cover part which covers an outer peripheral face side of a pipe which is inserted and fixed in the connection part on the pedestal part through a screw part.
When a pipe 5 is connected through a nipple main body 4, the pipe 5 is first attached in a condition in which a cover part 6 is inserted in the pipe 5, a connection part 3 of the nipple main body 4 is inserted in an end part of the pipe 5 to connect the pipe 5 with the connection part 3, and the connection part 3 and the pipe 5 are fixed mutually by using a fixing member 8 arranged on an outer peripheral face of the pipe 5 in this condition. Next, a screw part 10a of a base part 10 of the cover part 6 is screw-fitted and tightened in a screw part 1 of a pedestal part 2 of the nipple main body 4 to connect the pipe 5 with the nipple main body 4. Consequently, external force is received by the cover part 6 and the strength for external force is improved greatly because the cover part 6 of a cover body 7 covers a connection part of the pipe 5 and the connection part 3.
