Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simplify the measurement of time by receiving a time message signal in a reception device having a real time clock and deciding which message signal is to be processed as a present time reference signal related to the time of the real time clock. CONSTITUTION: A time signal Tc is generated in the clock 15, is supplied to a control part 18 and is temporarily stored. The date and time signals are received by a pager and they depend on the actual time of reception and a distance from the antenna of PNC 10. Time delay is generated by the moving pager between the generation of the time signal Tc and actual reception time. The delay is constituted of the elements of time delay in PNC 10 and transmission time to the respective pagers. The pager sets one of the received time message signals to be reference, counts time from reference by the inner clock, compares the time message signal which is newly received with present reference and decides whether the time message signal is correct or not.
