Abstract:

To provide a connection system for combining two orderly aligned tool portions, characterized by easy manufacturing, inexpensive prices, capability to attain accurate alignment in both axial and radial directions, and non-necessity for additional pushing/displacing equipment.

In a connection system for aligned combination of two tool portions, the system is equipped with means to join the two tool portions and means to mutually align them. The alignment means include an insertion unit with a non-round cross sectional face formed within one of the two tool portions to be connected with each other and a concave unit 8 formed in the second tool portion. For alignment of the two tool portions, the insertion unit is designed to positively engage with the concave unit, while the cross section size of the insertion unit 3 is either smaller than or equal to the cross section size of the concave unit.
