Abstract:
PURPOSE: To facilitate connection of a pipe in such a state that slip out is impossible by a method wherein a body having a bending deformable claw part engaged separably with a lock part formed close to the opposite end part of a pipe is arranged at an end part, a pipe is inserted in the body, and the fastening force of a fastening tool is exerted on the claw part.
CONSTITUTION: When pipes P (P1 and P2) are interconnected, pipe ends are inserted in the respective insertion groove 6 of a connection tool body 2 and a claw edge 10 part is engaged with an annular groove (a lock part) 1 formed closer to the end part of the pipe P. With this state, by pulling out a holder from the two knob pieces 12 of a clip 11, the clip 11 is returned to a natural state by an own resilient force, and a fastening force is exerted on a connection tool body 2. This constitution bends and deforms inwardly the claw edge 10 part of the outer cylinder 4 of the connection tool body 2 and deeply engages the two claw edges 10 with an annular groove 1. Simultaneously, the pipes P are drawn toward each other and a pipe edge is sealed through an O-ring.
