The connector for the animal includes: a body 4 including a base portion 2 connected to a base end ring 1 and a hook portion 3 extended from the base portion 2; and a locking pin 8 having a closing habit to close an opening part 6 of the hook portion 3 when the locking pin is urged within the base portion 2 by a spring to project and pressure-welded to the front end of the hook portion 3, and having an operation part 7 retreated against the spring 5 around the base portion 2. The operation part 7 is configured to extend in one way or in both ways in the circumferential direction along the outer periphery of the base portion 2 from a rising part 8a which rises around the outer periphery of the base portion 2 from the outer periphery of the locking pint 8 through a slide groove 11 disposed on the opening part 6 side of the hook portion 3 on the peripheral wall of the base portion 2.
