To provide a connector assembly for maintaining aseptic nature of a passing fluid, for example, a biological fluid.
The connector assembly has first and second assemblies (100, 200); and first and second thin layer assemblies (170, 270). Respective fixing tools restrict respective openings. The respective thin layer assemblies have layers for sealing the opening; and removable contaminant inhibition layers on the respective sealing layers. The first and second fixing tools are elastically connected to press to an opposite direction so as to forcibly contact each other between the first and second removable contaminant inhibition layer and/or the first and second sealing layers. In one application, the connector assembly forms a fluid communication passage handling the fluid without making a contamination degree of the fluid large. The connector assembly is used for handling a biological fluid in which no contamination by a microorganism exists while the aseptic nature is maintained.
