Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a plurality of coaxial cables to be connected simultaneously and easily.
SOLUTION: A connector for the coaxial cable is constituted so as to be installed at the edge part of the coaxial cable, and this is composed of a cable retaining member 2 and a contact retaining member 6 made of insulating materials, a contact 8 mounted on the contact retaining member 6, a shield cover 3 made of metal material which is mounted covering both upper and lower faces of the retaining member, and a core wire of the coaxial cable is connected to the contact, and the shielding wire is connected to both covers 3, 7. Then, a recess groove 7d to receive the coaxial cable in the state that a second insulating covering is peeled off so that the shielding wire is exposed is formed at the ground cover, and an engaging protruding part 3a to enter into the recess groove and to be engaged is formed at the shielding cover 3. The engaging protruding part 3a is made to enter and to be engaged inside the recess groove 7d in the state that a coaxial cable grounded connection part 23a is received in the recess groove, and the coaxial cable is retained in the recess groove.
