Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for a cassette external recording medium, which is easy to assemble at a low cost, capable of joining a board for the cassette external recording medium by accurately aligning the connector and avoiding miscontact. SOLUTION: The housing 11a of a connector 11 is formed integrally with a case 10 at the back or face side of a data processor and the recess or protrusion of a cassette insert guide 11b engaged with a protruded or recessed guide 7b formed on/in a cassette case for an external recording medium 7 to be inserted is formed integrally with the case 10 at the back or face side of the data processor ranging from an insert port in the cassette case to a cassette receive port in the connector. When the cases 10b, 10a at the back and face sides are assembled to be engaged with each other, the contact 11c has one end pressed against the terminal 6a of a printed board 6 constituting an electronic circuit for the data processor.
