Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector device for a memory card capable of reducing the thickness while recuring mechanical strength, and working without trouble in inserting/removing the memory card due to deformation or the like.
SOLUTION: This connector body consists of a base shell 1 made of a metal plate and a cover shell 2 which is made of a metal plate and adheres to the base shell 1. The connector body houses a contact block 4 in which a contact 10 corresponding to the I/O contact surface of the memory card and switch pieces 30a, 30b, 31a, and 31b which detect the position and the write protection status of the memory card are held in parallel on both sides of a resinous substrate 7 and the contact 10 and the switch pieces 30a, 30b, 31a, and 31b are arranged so that the contact side front end thereof may face toward the loading slot direction of the memory card, and a slider 5 which moves with the memory card backward and forward as the memory card is inserted/ removed into/from the loading slot of the memory card, wherein the slider 5 is biased forward from the rear of both sides by a biasing coil spring 13.
