Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a hard disc drive package by which a clean room area can be sealed even though a connector is mounted, and the overall height of the package can be reduced. CONSTITUTION: A casing 18 of a hard disc drive is partitioned by a casing side wall 34, and the inside of the side wall 34 is used as a clean room area 50. An upper part of the casing 18 comprises a notch 32, and a connector body 4 is fitted into the notch 32. Thereby the connector body 4 can be prevented from projecting from an upper part of the casing 18. A motor connection pin 8, of the connector 2 is inserted into a receptacle connector 30 for disc driving motor, installed inside the clean room area 50, and a circuit board connection pin 10 is inserted into a receptacle connector 36 of a driving circuit board, outside the clean room area 50. The notch 32 is sealed by a sealing material 14.
