Title:
CONNECTOR ENGAGEMENT STRUCTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004165023
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a connector fitting structure of a low insertion force type, requiring no large work space around a connector when fitting the connector.

An operating cylinder 27 having a cam groove 26a is only rotatably attached to one connector 22. A cam pin 28 capable of being engaged with the cam groove 26 is fixed to the other connector 21. If the operating cylinder 27 is rotated with the cam pin 28 inserted in the opening part 26a of the cam groove 26 of the operating cylinder 27, the cam pin 28 receives downward force from the cam groove 26, and the connector 21 is fitted in the connector 22. Since the outline of the operating cylinder 27 is not changed even if it is rotated, a large space is not required around the connectors. In addition, even if the connector is multipolarized and strong connector insertion force becomes necessary, it can be coped with by making the inclination angle of the cam groove gentle, and in this case, it is not required to make the size of the operating cylinder large.
