PURPOSE: To smoothly guide a counterpart male terminal metal fitting into a terminal containing chamber by means of a front member disposed in a connector housing.

CONSTITUTION: A plurality of terminal containing chambers 1 each containing a female terminal metal fitting therein are laterally juxtaposed and a front member C is provided in a connector housing A wherein flexible locking pieces 7 of the respective terminal containing chambers 1 are laterally juxtaposed in a forward exposed state. Jig inserting cutouts 29 are formed continuously to penetrating portions R1, R2 of the front member C. Approximately halves of the flexible locking pieces 7 of the two adjacent terminal containing chambers 1 are exposed in the jig inserting cutout 29. Tapered guide surface 30' formed at both edges of the jig inserting cutout 29 are superposed in a part of the circumferential edge on sides of the flexible locking pieces 7 in the openings of the two terminal containing chambers 1.
