Title:
CONNECTOR HAVING SHIELD MEMBER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3417782
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate disconnection work of male and female connectors and prevent a shield member or a conductive member from being exposed to the outside by covering the male and female connectors with a metal shell and a shield member and engaging it with an engagement protrusion provided with an elastic piece at a groove part during connection.
SOLUTION: A male connector 3 is provided with an elastic piece 9 extending to an outer circumference of a male housing 8 holding a male terminal 7, a shield braided connection member 6 shield-connected to a shield braid S of a shield wire W being made of a conductive material. This elastic piece 9 is provided with an engagement protrusion 10 engaged with a groove part 5, and a non-conductive slide member 11 slidable axially is provided around an outer circumference of a shield braid connection member 6. The slide member 11 is provided with a cutout part 12 in which the engagement protrusion 10 can be protruded. At a wall part of the slide member 11 in front of the cutout part 12, there is provided a press wall 13 capable of axially pressing the engagement protrusion 10 and the elastic piece 9. For a female connector 2, the groove part 5 is provided inside a substantially cylindrical metal shell 4 connected to a shield braid S.
