This is a connector for IC card that connects the electrode of an IC card and a contact in the insertion hole by inserting plural types of IC cards in an insertion hole of a common housing. It comprises in the housing a slider that makes movement forward and backward interlocked with the attachment and detachment action of push-in and push-out of the IC card and a lock mechanism that locks at push-in and releases locking at push-out of the slider, and the slider is set with a configuration and a position according to the width of the IC card, length of the IC card, top end shape of the IC card, electrode position of the IC card, and contact position of the housing so that it may engage with the configurations of a plurality of types of IC cards.
