Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for an IC card with an inexpensive emergency function which can release the lock member in a simple structure.
SOLUTION: The connector for an IC card is provided with a slide member 7 free in sliding in the directions of insertion and ejection of the IC card 3 to be attached and detached inside a housing 1, a return spring 5 for biasing the slide member 7 in the ejection direction of the above IC card, a lock member 6 for holding the above slide member 7 at a position where the above IC card 3 is kept inserted against the biasing force of the return spring 7, and a release member 10 for releasing the lock of the lock member 6 and making the above slide member 7 move in the ejection direction of the above IC card. The above release member 10 releases the engagement of the above lock member 6 with the above slide member 7 with its one end contacting the above lock member 6 by the pressing of the other end, and at same time, returns to where it was in interlocking movement with sliding of the above slide member 7 in the ejection direction of the above IC card 3.
