Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a connector which can be manufactured inexpensively, having an improved sealing-property, and provide further a manufacturing method thereof.
SOLUTION: A cylindrical part is formed in one end of the connector 20. An annular groove extending all over the periphery is formed on the outside periphery of the cylindrical part. In order to form the groove, a mandrel 31 having an outside diameter substantially the same size as the inside diameter of the cylindrical part is inserted in the inside of the cylindrical part. The connector 20 is placed between a pair of roller dies 40 respectively having protrusions 41 on the peripheral surfaces and while pressure is being given on the periphery of the cylindrical part by the dies 40, the annular groove is formed by rotating the dies 40. The sectional shape of the tip part of the protrusion 41 changes from a triangle to a final shape, as the tip part goes front in the rotation direction.
