Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for a memory card capable of preventing a memory card from jumping out and having a lock mechanism of a simpler structure.
SOLUTION: A cover 2 is mounted to a housing 1 so as to cover it, and a card holding part 1B has a card insertion slot 1A into which the memory card 10 is inserted. A plurality of cantilever contacts 3 in electric contact with on-surface connection terminals of the memory card 10 are arrayed in opposition to the card insertion slot 1A. A helical compression spring 5 biases an oscillating slider 4 in a counter insertion direction. The oscillating slider 4 is provided with a first claw 41 in contact with the insertion-side corner of the memory card 10 and a second claw 42 getting in and out of a recess part 10A formed on a side face of the memory card 10. The oscillating slider 4 is kept in either a mounted state or a ready-to-be-pulled state following the track of a heart-shaped cam groove 4A, while maintaining an engaging state with the recess part 10A.
