Title:
CONNECTOR OF PHOTOCONDUCTIVE CABLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5753713
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To realize the connector of a photoconductor cable having about 100% transfer efficiency, by boundling many cores in a hexagonal shape and providing smaller-diameter cores in gaps formed among the cores.

CONSTITUTION: Many cores of photoconductors whose sections are circular are bundled in a pentagonal shape 101, and photoconductor cores 2, 2..., 3, 3..., etc., having smaller diameters than those of the photoconductor cores 1 are arranged in gaps formed among those cores 1, 1... and gaps at the outside of the hexagonally arranged cores 1 and at the inside of a circle 201 circumscribed with the hexagon, thereby increasing the package area of the photoconductor cores. Every time a connector connecting photoconductor cables of the said constitution is turned by 60°, it is locked and coupling efficiency at lock positions is increased up to about 100%.
