The connector electrically connecting a first circuit board and a second circuit board facing each other has a body 1 comprising a synthetic resin molding. In the body 1, a plurality of contacts 2 made of a belt-shaped metal piece are held in a line in the width direction. One end part in each contact 2 is formed in a terminal piece 21 to be mounted on the first circuit board. The other end part of each contact 2 is bifurcated to form two contact pieces 22a, 22b arranged in the width direction of the contact 2. The same number of terminal patterns as the number of the contacts are installed in the second circuit board, and the contact pieces 22a, 22b elastically contact with the same terminal pattern every contacts 2. In each contact 2, one contact piece 22a is formed longer than the other contact piece 22b, and in a pair of adjoined contacts 2, the long contact pieces 22a and the short contact pieces 22a are alternately arranged.
