To improve fitting engagement reliability of both connector housings.

The female housing 10 has a covering wall formed to be opposed to the return direction of an operating part 28 at the time of return movement of a lock arm 11 capable of rocking displacement, and a displacement prevention part 37 formed to regulate displacement and interference of the covering wall 12 to the operating part 28 side by contacting the covering wall 12. A narrow space 32 is formed between the opposed faces of both of the covering wall 12 and the operating part 28, and when locking state of the both male and female housings 10, 40 is released, a finger 38 is inserted from the rear side into the narrow space 32, thereby the covering wall 12 and the operating part 28 are displaced mutually in separating direction to expand the narrow space 32.
