The connector has a housing 10 capable of being fit to a mating housing 80, a lock arm 19 with a cantilevered and deflectively-deformed shape which has a fulcrum 21 rising from the housing 10 and an arm 22 extending forward in a fitting direction from the fulcrum 21, and maintains both the housings 10, 80 at a fitted state by a locking operation of the arm 22 at the time of normal fitting, and a pressing section 32 which is formed at the housing 10 and located behind the fitting direction of the fulcrum 21 while it is connected to or opposite to the fulcrum 21 and can press in the process of fitting.
