To obtain a connector allowing a pipe to be connected to the connector only by inserting the pipe into the connector, and allowing backlash in an inserting direction of the pipe to be reduced in a pipe connected state.
In a housing 14, a lock member 16 is provided to be movable to a standby position and a connecting position. If a pipe 12 is inserted into an opening part 50 of the housing 14 while locking the lock member 16 at the standby position, the lock member 16 is unlocked and is made movable to the connecting position, but since a distal end portion 64A of a detection stopper 64 is abutted to a flange part 12A of the pipe 12, the lock member 16 is blocked from being moved to the connecting position. Next, if the pipe 12 is inserted further and the flange part 12A passes through a position of the detection stopper 64, the detection stopper 64 is moved to the connecting position together with the lock member 16.
