Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a height of a connector as much as possible.SOLUTION: A receptacle terminal 250 included in a receptacle (connector) has a first portion 260, a second portion 270, and a connection part 280 connecting them. The first portion 260 has a contact part 262 in contact with a mating contact part 162; and a guide part 266 guiding the mating contact part 162 to the contact part 262. The connection part 280 is positioned at a position different from the contact part 262 in a Y direction (first direction). Therefore, on the Y direction side of the connection part 280, a permission area 285 which receives a part of a plug terminal 150 to be the mating terminal and permits the part to be positioned at the same position as the connection part 280 in a Z direction is formed. Thus, while sufficient effective contact length is secured, a height of the connector can be reduced just by at least a thickness of the connection part 280.
