Abstract:
To provide a connector avoiding an enlargement of a female connector and further preventing a seal member from being damaged in the mating process of both male and female connectors.SOLUTION: In a mating space 28 of a hood 25, a moving plate 14 is arranged to be movable between a protected position and a retracted position, and a seal member 16 having the outer surface in close contact with the inner surface of the hood 25 is arranged closer on an opening side than the moving plate 14. The moving plate 14 is provided with an arm 64 having an inward locking projection 66 intersecting a direction of movement. A female housing 102 is mated in the mating space 28 of the hood 25, and includes, on the outer surface, a seal surface 116 in close contact with the inner surface of the seal member 16 when mated with a male connector 10, and a recess 112 recessed inward from the seal surface 116 at a front part of the female housing in the mating direction to the mating space 28, the locking projection 66 being locked to a side surface of a recess in the process of disconnecting from the male connector.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 15
