Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a connector having a quick connection mechanism allowing tight connection of a rigid tube formed with a bead part at a prescribed distance from its free end part, projecting radially from the outer face of the tube and having a substantially radial side face on the opposite side of the end part.
CONSTITUTION: This connector 2 has a first inner housing accommodating an O-ring 6 contacting with the outer face of a tube 1 and a second inner housing 3a receiving a lock ring 4 elastically deformable in the radial direction. The lock ring 4 is formed by a thin metal band having an oblong profile, a central region of the ring 4 being constituted by substantially cylindrical portions 4a, 4b whose diameters in a free state are at the most equal to the diameter of the tube 1. A zone located at one end of the large diameter of the oblong profile is constituted by a bridge part 4c, 4d in the form of an upturned U whose base part forms a part radially projecting outside a connector main body 3.
