PURPOSE: To suppress the width of a lock lever and make the overall compact by furnishing a hinge part and a lock part on a lock lever of a male housing, and detaining the lock part with the oversurface of the body of male housing.

CONSTITUTION: A connector 1 is composed of a female housing 2 and a male housing 3 to generate electrical connection of terminals with each other when they are fitted together. Lock lever 9 of the male housing 3 is furnished with a hinge part 15 between the rear leg 11 and bridge part 12 and with a lock part 16 at the foremost, of the front leg 10. A detaining part 21 is furnished at the oversurface 8 of the body 7 of male housing 3, and the lock part 16 is engaged by this detaining part 21. Thus the width of the lock lever can be suppressed, and the overall size can be made compact.
