Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the coloring property, weatherability, etc., of molded items by laminating at least one thermoplastic resin layer and a matter to be rolled, the former being mixed with at least one kind of an additive selected from the group consisting of a coloring agent, a weatherproofing agent, an anti-static agent, an adhesive giving agent and a dyeing property giving agent in a rolling process.
CONSTITUTION: A super high molecular weight polyethylene powder placed in a hopper 12 is allowed to drop on an endless belt located downstream therefrom. The polyethylene powder put on the endless belt is made into a predetermined cross-sectional configuration by a doctor knife 16 and preheated as requested, and thereafter, it is shifted to a pressure holding part by an upper and lower endless belts. Next, it is moved to a compression part with a bank of rollers and a press plate placed therein. Here, pressing force from a hydraulic cylinder 15 is transmitted to a pressure plate 7, and further compression via the bank of rollers and endless belts. Heat from the heater is transferred in the same manner via the bank of rollers and endless belt, thereby maintaining the temperature of the matter to be compressed.
