Title:
LOW-TEMPERATURE-BAKED DIELECTRIC PORCELAIN AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3216967
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To increase a value of no-load Q in a microwave region and reduce the temperature coefficient of resonance frequency by adding glass powder to a calcined powder comprising a BaO.xTiO2 composition and a specific metallic oxide and baking the resultant mixture.
CONSTITUTION: This low-temperature baked dielectric porcelain is obtained by blending 100 pts.wt. composition of the formula BaO.xTiO2 [3.0≤(x)≤5.71 with 0.1-20 pts.wt. ZnO, 0.1-1 pt.wt. To2O5, ≤1 pt.wt. WO3, ≤15 pts.wt. SnO2, ≤15 pts.wt. MgO, ≤15 pts.wt. SrO and ≤5 pts.wt. ZrO2, calcining the resultant blend at 900-1200°C), then pulverizing the calcined blend, providing a calcined powder having 1-3μm average particle diameter, adding 0.1-20 pts.wt. glass powder having ≤450°C transition point, 0.1-1.5μm average particle diameter and a smaller average particle diameter than that of the calcined powder to 100 pts.wt. resultant calcined powder, forming the prepared mixture into a prescribed shape and subsequently baking the formed compact at 850-1000°C. The resultant porcelain has ≤5.0wt.% percentage of water absorption and ≥2000GHz as product of no-load Q value and resonance frequency (measured inc 1-5GHz measurement frequency according to a parallel conductor plate type dielectric resonator method).
