To provide a constant-quantity supply method for powdered/granular materials and an apparatus therefor, capable of continuously supplying powdered/granular materials with high accuracy by eliminating the occurrence of flushing due to the rapid increase of a powder pressure and an air pressure, which may be caused when a hopper of the constant- quantity supply apparatus for the powdered/granular materials, which is in operation, is refilled with the powdered/granular materials.
In a constant-quantity supply method for powdered/granular materials, the powdered/granular materials contained in a hopper 1 which is intermittently refilled with the powdered/granular materials from the external side are moved to a storing chamber located on the underside of the hopper 1, and the constant-quantity of the powdered/granular materials stored in the storing chamber is continuously discharged to the external side by a continuous constant-quantity supply mechanism provided at a lower part of the storing chamber. During the time when the hopper 1 is refilled with the powdered/granular materials, an opening 4 of a passage leading from the hopper 1 to the storing chamber is choked to become small in its area and, after the hopper 1 is refilled, the opening 4 is returned to a predetermined area to be used, thereby preventing a powder pressure and an air pressure from rapidly increasing when the hopper 1 is refilled with the powdered/granular materials and thus suppressing the drop of supply accuracy.
