PURPOSE: To reduce the cost and to improve the reliability by providing an operating condition switching means which can be put in the state of allowing a constant speed control means to conduct the constant-speed running control according to the operation of a constant speed running switch portion regardless of the operation of a constant- speed running control prohibiting means.
CONSTITUTION: Terminals 13A, 13B provided on a control unit 10 forms an operation condition switching means which can be put in the state of allowing a constant speed control portion 15 to conduct the constant-speed running control according to the operation of a constant-speed running control switch portion 20 regardless of the operation of a running speed discrimination portion 11 and a switch 12. Accordingly, by such a comparatively simple work that the terminals 13A, 13B are connected through the switch 12 of directly connected to each other without alternation of constitution of the control unit 10 or the constant speed control portion 15. The constant speed control portion 15 can selectively employ the state of not conducting the constant-speed running control regardless of operation of the constant-speed running control switch portion 20 and the state of conducting constant-speed running according to the operation of the constant-speed running control switch portion 20 regardless of the running speed of vehicle in the case where the running speed of a vehicle becomes more than a disignated value.
