Gas in the article housing parts 2a and 2b is exhausted to an exhaust passage 11 from exhaust ports 10a and 10b by introducing chilled air generated from a refrigerant 7 to intake ports 8a and 8b arranged in the article housing parts 2a and 2b from an air supply passage 9 by arranging the article housing parts 2a and 2b to house articles to be maintained in a prescribed constant temperature state and the refrigerant housing part 3 to house the refrigerant in a casing 1 formed as a heat insulating structure by arranging the opening/closing part. Then, a temperature in the article housing parts 2a and 2b is maintained at a prescribed temperature by adjusting the inflow of the chilled air by opening/closing ventilation of the exhaust ports 10a and 10b by an opening/closing valve 12 according to a temperature in the article housing parts 2a and 2b.
