Abstract:
To provide a constant velocity universal joint and a boot for the constant velocity universal joint capable of maintaining the lubrication of the inside of an outer ring at low cost, limiting the consumption of a lubricant to the minimum required.
The lubricant 11 is filled up in the outer ring 1. A major diameter portion 17a and a minor diameter portion 17b of the boot 17 are attached to the outer peripheral surface of an opening end 1b of the outer ring 1 and the outer peripheral surface of a shaft 6, respectively. The boot 17 is formed of a resin to shed the lubricant 11 as a whole.
