To provide a cost-effective constant velocity universal joint which improves an cooling effect of the constant velocity universal joint, supplements a lubricating function even when a lubricating component from a foamed solid lubricant becomes insufficient, and maintains excellent lubricity over a long period of time even when used at a high operating angle.
The constant velocity universal joint 1 includes an outer member 2, a track groove 2a provided on the inner diameter surface of the outer member 2, torque transmission members 4 which are rolled along the track groove 2a, a shaft 6 which transmits a rotational torque to the torque transmission member 4, and a seal structure member 8 which covers the end surface of the opening side of the outer member 2, without a boot. The seal structure member 8 has an opening through which the shaft 6 passes. Inside the universal joint 1, a foamed solid lubricant 7, which includes a lubricating component in a porous resin formed by foaming and hardening, and grease 9 for auxiliary lubrication coexist. The grease 9 for the auxiliary lubrication contains at least wax whose melting point is 70 to 150°C.
