To reliably prevent co-rotation of a boot to improve durability of the boot, and reduce rotation friction of a constant velocity universal joint itself.
A constant velocity universal joint includes an outer joint member 10 having an opening 13 at one end, and an inner joint member 20 for transmitting torque via a ball 30 while permitting angular displacement with the outer joint member 10, wherein ends 62, 64 of a tubular boot 60 for closing the opening 13 of the outer joint member 10 are mounted on an opening end 11 of the outer joint member 10 and a shaft 50 extended from the inner joint member 10, respectively. Between the opening end 11 of the outer joint member 10 and an large diameter end 62 of the boot 60, and between the shaft 50 and the a small diameter end 64 of the boot 60, needle bearings 82, 83 are interposed which hold the boot 60 in a static state with respect to rotation of the outer joint member 10 and the shaft 50, and sealing member 82c, 83c are provided to the needle bearings 82, 83.
