Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constant velocity universal joint which can reduce vibration from an engine, and can suppress the generation of vibration or noise in the joint.SOLUTION: In a constant velocity universal joint, a stem part of an outside joint member is rotatably supported by a support bearing which is attached to the stem part. The constant velocity universal joint comprises a dynamic damper attached to the stem part. The dynamic damper is of a shearing type having a pair of attachment cylinder parts which are externally fit to the stem part, a cylindrical connecting part which connects the pair of attachment cylinder parts to each other, is brought into a non-contact state with respect to the stem part at the internal peripheral face, and forms an annular clearance between the stem part and itself, and a cylindrical weight member which is accommodated in the cylindrical connecting part. The dynamic damper constitutes a reduction mechanism of the transmission of vibration from an engine.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
