PURPOSE: To realize a data base access routine which is to an indefinite number of users by accessing data bases characteristic to individual users only with sequence numbers characteristic to the users.

CONSTITUTION: Data base DB access information characteristic to a user is constituted by a setup processing part 1 which analyzes a definition body described in specific format and generates a setup file automatically and a data base DB update processing part 2 which accesses a data base DB according to the generated setup file. Further, the data base DB update processing part 2 consists of a variable part based upon user environment and a general data base DB access base part. Then, the variable part accesses the base part to access the data base DB characteristic to the user only with the sequence No. characteristic to the user. Consequently, an access routine which is the base part of the data base access routine includes no record name as a user variable element, so the data base access routine which is general to an infinite number of users is realized.
