To construct a water-barrier structure having excellent shock resistance, durability and water-barrier properties easily by burying a water-barrier board, in which a pair of fibrous boards are unified by a bituminous binder, for the leak prevention and cutoff of a headrace, an artificial pond, etc.
The water-barrier board 1 is constituted by integrally combining a pair of fibrous boards 2, 2 impregnated with a bituminous material by a bituminous binder 3. When the leakage of water from the banking section of an agricultural irrigation canal is prevented, an excavated ditch is formed at the central section of a bank body by using an excavator, fibrous boards 15, to which bituminous working is executed, are laid all over the bottom section of the ditch, the water-barrier boards 1, 1 are erected vertically on the fibrous boards 15, the joint sections 4 of the end sections of the water-barrer boards 1 are filled with a Joint material 5, the joining sections of the water-barrier boards l, 1 are heated by employing a propane gas burner and the joint materials 5 are melted partially and the water-barrier boards 1, 1 are combined, and lastly the ditch is backfilled, and the water-barrier structure is built completely. Accordeingly, the water-barrier structure having excellent shock resistance, durability and water-barrier properties can be constructed easily by using the water- barrier boards 1.
