Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the subsidence of the ground by a method in which the specific gravities of a light-weight soil layer and a light-weight crushed stone layer which make up the base ground are made smaller than a given value in such a way that clean permeated water is drained.
CONSTITUTION: A light-weight soil layer 12 sufficiently consolidated, having a smaller specific gravity than 1, is formed on a light-weight crushed stone layer 13 having a smaller specific gravity than 1, having a drain pipe 14. An asphalt 11 constituting road face is placed on the layer 12, and permeated water from the road face is allowed to flow into the pipe 14 quickly through the layers 12 and 13 in clean state all the time.
