PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction machine capable of detecting the open fastening of an excess flow control valve in real time while working without reduction in work speed.SOLUTION: A construction machine comprises: an excess flow control valve control part for outputting a close command to the excess flow control valve at the operation start when detecting an operation amount signal from an operation lever device; a pump discharge control part for outputting a discharge flow rate command to an adjustor of an open circuit pump; an assist valve control part for continuing to output a close command from the past to an assist valve; a fastening detection determination part in which by comparing a pressure signal with the prescribed set threshold, when the pressure signal is lower than the threshold, the excess flow control valve is determined to be the open fastening, and when the pressure signal exceeds the threshold, the excess flow control valve is determined to be normal; and a safety stop signal generation part which inputs a fastening determination signal, when open fastening, for outputting a control signal maintaining the close state of the assist valve to the assist valve control part, and when normal, for outputting a control signal opening operation the assist valve to the assist valve control part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
