Abstract:
To insulate a turbocharger and an exhaust pipe from heat while preventing a decrease in the temperature of exhaust gas circulating in the exhaust pipe.SOLUTION: A heat insulating cover 18 that covers a turbocharger 14 and a downstream exhaust pipe 11B is composed of a heat insulating plate 19, a discharge port 21 and a guide plate 22. The heat insulating plate 19 is provided so as to cover the circumference of the turbocharger 14 and the downstream exhaust pipe 11B, and includes an intake port 19A1 on an upstream side in the flowing direction of cooling air F. The discharge port 21 is formed in a position, in the heat insulating plate 19, corresponding to a connection part 14A1 between the turbocharger 14 and the downstream exhaust pipe 11B, and externally discharges the cooling air F introduced into the heat insulating plate 19 from the intake port 19A1. The guide plate 22 is provided in a position, on an inner peripheral surface 19C2 of the heat insulating plate 19, that faces the discharge port 21, and blocks the cooling air F flowing toward the downstream exhaust pipe 11B while guiding the cooling air F in the heat insulating plate 19 to the discharge port 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
