Abstract:
To provide a construction machine in which an opening/closing work of an engine cover and a muffler cover can be performed at a proper site.SOLUTION: Above an engine 8, there is provided an engine cover 21 which covers an opening 16A of an upper surface plate 16 of a building cover 13 and which can open/close with a counterweight 6 side as a rotating fulcrum and with the engine 8 side as a free end. Above a muffler device 11, there is provided a muffler cover 18 which covers an opening 16A of an upper surface plate 16 and which can open/close with a side face plate side as a rotating fulcrum and with the engine 8 side as a free end. Between the engine cover 21 and the muffler cover 18, there is provided a step 20 for opening/closing a muffler cover that becomes a scaffold for opening/closing the muffler cover 18. In the engine cover 21, there is provided a grip 22 for an engine cover restricting entry into the step 20 for opening/closing a muffler cover in a state in which the engine cover 21 is closed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
