To minimize underwater man-hours in a construction method of a cofferdam structure, which is constructed in renovation such as repair or reinforcement of a bridge pier provided in water of river, sea or the like, and a platform used for the construction.
A cylindrical cofferdam structure A is constructed around the bridge pier 1. A working platform 20 is provided at a required level of height of the bridge pier, and vertically divided structures A1... of the cofferdam structure are successively formed on the platform. After each divided structure is individually formed, a support rod 22d (platform outer periphery section 20a) on the outer periphery of the platform is evacuated downwardly, and each divided structure is passed and lowered through the platform and fixed onto the footing 3 of the bridge pier or a divided structure already set. The lowering of the divided structure is performed by suspending and lowering the structure by a lifter 17 provided at an upper part of the bridge pier. This construction method is reduced in the underwater man-hour, compared with conventional make-up that is an underwater operation by divers, and is easy to respond to irregularities on the upper surface of the footing. The number of workers can be reduced, and the operation time can be reduced also since materials can be conveyed onto the platform on the water and unloaded horizontally. The operation on the platform can be performed in a stable position.
