PURPOSE: To carry out construction work very economically by providing only a thin film-like cut-off wall to an aquifer part in a deep position, and constructing an earth retaining cut-off wall bearing stress and having cut-off function upward thereof.
CONSTITUTION: A narrow plate-like gutter 3 is excavated from the ground to a water-unpermeable layer by means of an excavator. Then, the plate-like gutter 3 is filled with cut-off materials, and a plate-like cut-off wall 2 cutting off an aquifer is vertically constructed within distance from the water- unpermeable layer to the ground. Then, an upward part of the cut-off wall 2 is widely cut up to required depth from the ground by means of earth auger, etc., and it is stirred to form a stirring gutter 6. Before the cut-off materials are solidified, stress materials 7 and 7 such as H-shaped steel materials are erected in the stirring gutter 6, and with the solidification of the cut-off materials, an earth retaining cut-off wall 1 is formed monolithically therewith having a sufficient strength, and equipped with cut-off function.
