In a method of constructing an earth-retaining wall for which a surface of a core material is exposed by forming a column row 11 of soil cement columns 8 on ground 9, erecting the core material inside each soil cement column of the column row, excavating the ground surrounded by the column row after soil cement of the column row is cured, and removing the soil cement on the excavated side of the column row, the core material with a covering material, for which the covering material (plate material 5) for covering a surface 4 of the core material (H-section steel 1) is attached to the surface, is erected inside an uncured soil cement column 8, and after soil cement 7 inside the soil cement column 8 is cured, the ground 9 surrounded by the column row 11 of the soil cement columns 8 is excavated, and the covering material is released to expose the surface of the core material.
