Abstract:

To provide a construction method for estimating the uniaxial compressive strength of the ground to be constructed or of an underground consolidated body using a cone penetration tester before various civil engineering constructions are performed.

This construction method for estimating a uniaxial compressive strength comprises: a penetration step (S1) for penetrating a cone (20) into the ground or the underground consolidated body using the cone penetration tester (1); a step of calculating a frequency average value (fa), an excitation force average value (Fva), and a pressing force average value (Fpa) in the penetration step (S1); a step (S2) of calculating a penetration energy (E) per second based on the calculated frequency average value (fa), excitation force average value (Fva), and pressing force average value (Fpa) and the specifications and set values (pressing distance s per second) of the cone penetration tester; and a step (S3) of estimating the uniaxial compressive strength of the ground to be constructed or the underground consolidated body from the calculated penetration energy (E).
