Because the forced excitation frequency of waterjet peening is found out to vary depending on the injection distance, the injection flow rate, and the diameter of a nozzle, based on the natural frequency of waterjet peening construction objects the resonance can be prevented by selecting the injection distance, the injection flow rate, and the diameter of a nozzle of the waterjet peening. The forced excitation frequency of the waterjet peening is determined by fixing an injection receiving plate to a load cell a natural frequency of which is larger enough than the forced excitation frequency, by performing the waterjet peening against the injection receiving plate, and analyzing the load data detected by a load cell.
