PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact detection device that can deal with a multi-tap.SOLUTION: A contact detection device comprises: a range-finding unit 13 that acquires three-dimensional information on a hand and screen; setting means 50 that sets a contact object surface on the basis of the three-dimensional information on the screen; transformation means 52 that transforms the three-dimensional information on the hand to two-dimensional information by a projective transformation; end part candidate detection means 53 that detects a plurality of end candidates of each of a plurality of fingers on the basis of the two-dimensional information; ranking means 54 that implements comprehensive ranking of a proximity level to the contact object surface with respect to the plurality of end part candidates of each of the plurality of fingers; and determination means 55 that determines whether a portion highest in the ranking of the proximity level to each of the two-dimensional information on the plurality of fingers contacts with the contact object surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 22
